Fixing and customizing a blog template is something that took me months to learn to do on Blogspot. Since, I bought my domain and moved to WordPress, it’s a whole new world.
Today, I spent the whole afternoon trying to figure out how to center the feature images on my blog. After reading what seemed like hundreds of different WordPress forum posts, I finally found one that worked!
Here’s the link if you want to read the original post: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/post-size-and-featured-image-centering-sempress-theme

Loop giveaways are the new blogging trend that everyone is jumping on. You can’t go on Instagram without finding an active loop giveaway. Before you join a loop giveaway, there are quite a few pros and cons of loop giveaways you have to consider.
For blogging beginners and long-time bloggers, it’s a great way to gain a lot of followers really, really fast. In a matter of days, you can gain anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand followers. This may sound like something that is too good to be true and it can be (in some cases).
Since loop giveaways are so popular, there have been quite a few scams on the internet where people will pocket the money from other bloggers and fail to put together a giveaway. Make sure you do your research and trust the person you are giving your money to.
My rule of thumb is to only join loop giveaways with bloggers who have held successful loops in the past and/or bloggers who are a part of notable networks such as Lucky Contributor and Her Campus.
Before joining a loop giveaway, check out this list of the Pros and Cons of loop giveaways.
- Gain lots of followers very quickly
- Get to network and talk to a lot of other bloggers
- Give your blog and you a whole lot more exposure
- Lose about a 100 to (sometimes even) 200 followers a few weeks or months after the giveaway
- To keep up your numbers, you have to do more giveaways
More giveaways means more followers but it also means more money. And if you are not in a situation where you can shell out $30 to $40 each week/month to participate in a giveaway then this might not be the best idea to grow your following.
For beginning bloggers, loop giveaways can give you the foundation to build a larger audience. I gained over 400+ followers on Instagram from loop giveaways. Since then, I have organically gained another 200+ followers by posting quality photos.

Chloe Cake is a food, beauty, and lifestyle blogger in Singapore. Chloe proves that you can look pretty and eat your cake too. In her latest post, she takes us on a mouthwatering journey to Bing Go Jung, a small Korean ice cream shop in Bukit Timah Plaza. At this small shop, they sell pat bing soo a cold, delicious, and creamy treat that is extremely popular in Korea.
She also shares amazing recipes such as earl grey cakes. My mouth is watering just looking at her photos. Food porn anyone?
Chloe is also super relatable and gives great advice. Her “6 Best College Advice You Never Got” post is spot on! I wish somebody had told me this tips when I was in college. Because I am seriously the queen of procrastination. But I can honestly tell you that I have never turned in a late assignment.
Aside from amazing advice and mouthwatering food, Chloe also introduces her readers to new makeup brands and looks. Her Kiko Makeup haul looks so good that I’m starting to consider getting a ticket to Rome. I absolutely, completely, cannot live for another week without that eyebrow marker. The idea of an eyebrow marker just brings out the kid in me. Who wants crayons or pencils when you can have a marker? Am I right?
Chloe’s blog is fun, entertaining, and informative. Don’t forget to check out her blog HERE!
