I know that for those of you who are still in college or universities, you have finals coming up. And on top of all the papers and exams and projects you have to worry about. There is a date that is looming closer and closer. Mother’s day. No one wants to be that kid who forgot Mother’s day, right? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that threw together a mother’s day presents the night before or maybe even the morning of…
Well, you still have three weeks, including this one. So, make it count! Still need a gift idea? Check out these questions and tips!
- What are your mom’s interests? (You should probably know this, but if you don’t what kind of kid are you? Alright, just kidding. Moms are complicated beings. They have a variety of interests from caring for us, fabulous little bundles of joys that are growing up way too fast…to shopping and cooking…there must be something you think you’re mom would like)
- If you don’t know the answer to the first question, start thinking about photos and videos and other DIY gifts! (Making scrapbooks and home videos are a great personal gift that will touch the heart of every mom in the world. You can even make your own customized mugs and plates! Sharpies, White ceramic mugs or plates, and some time in the oven= perfection!)
- Last but not least, be there on Mother’s Day. (No matter what lavish, expensive gift you sent her, it will not be comparable to You, yes you, actually being there with her on Mother’s Day. Go out and have lunch with her, have a spa day-at home or at a spa, talk and enjoy each other’s company because no matter how old we get we always need our moms.)
