Can you believe it’s been a year since I first started fashion blogging? Well, it has. And I just wanted to thank you guys for a great first year and I cannot believe I’m almost to 100 subscribers! Well, one of my first fashion posts was about breaking in my Dr. Martens. I know that I did a lot of research before buying my first pair. So, in honor of an amazing year with my Dr. Martens, I have decided to make a post answering questions people might have about Dr. Martens.
I usually wear an 8.5 in shoes. I wear an 8.5 in most heels, sandals, and boots. I wear an 8.5 in Jeffrey Campbell boots too. But since, Dr. Martens do not have half sizes. I went with the 8 and I now know that I made the right decision. Because I have bought a second pair of Dr. Martens from Etsy and those are a size 9 and super loose on me. I have to wear thick socks so my feet stop sliding around in them. So, if you’re a half size, always go down. The shoes, though they may be tight at first and give you blisters, will eventually loosen up and mold to your feet.
It’s been a year and my Dr. Martens are still in amazing condition, other than a few minor scratches they look brand new! The pair I got from Etsy still aren’t completely broken in yet after four months of wear. The leather is still kinda hard, but I have made some dents. You can see some of the leather bending and creasing in my boots. They I breaking in beautifully!
Yes, and a million times yes! These shoes are worth the money! I have heard stories about Dr. Martens that have been worn for 20 plus years and the shoes are still in great condition! My Dr. Martens still have a long life ahead of them! And I can’t wait till these leather ones break in!
What else do you guys want to know about Dr. Martens? And if you have a pair that you want to share, don’t forget to leave a picture of them below! I would love to see them! I read all comments and if you have any questions feel free to ask them below or message me on Facebook or Twitter. Thanks for coming by and if you want to see more from me, don’t forget to subscribe!
