Hello Beauties,
Here is my make-up essentials for the month of October.  I will be doing these every month and providing reviews on new products I’m using.  If you want to purchase any of these products, the links are below!  I’ll talk to you guys soon!  Have an awesome day!
My Make-up Essentials: October

Dorothy Perkins lilac nail polish
$8.03 – topshop.comI have been in to pastel nail polish lately and the purple hues just suit my mood.

Underground velvet nail polish
$8.03 – topshop.com

I like the consistency of topshop nail polish.  It’s not too thick or too watery.  It’s the perfect consistency and goes on my nails with relative ease.  (especially on my left hand, but the right hand always poses its challenges).  I apply a Revlon Anti-chip top coat and the nail polish doesn’t chip for about a week and a half.

Face makeup
cetaphil.comI have been using this moisturizer for a few months now.  I love that this moisturizer has SPF in it!  At the beginning of summer, I used Cerave PM moisturizer, which does not have any SPF in it.  So, I had to apply Neutrogena’s Clear Face sunscreen over it every morning.  And the reason I use Cerave PM moisturizer rather than the AM moisturizer is because the AM moisturizer has a weird texture that is less creamy and kind of chalky.  I have no complaints with the Clear Face sunscreen by Neutrogena because that sunscreen was one of the few sunscreens that didn’t break me out.  But now I love this Cetaphil Oil Control moisturizer with SPF 30, I have a moisturizer and sunblock in one!  One thing about this Cetaphil Oil Control moisturizer is that it doesn’t really control the oil.  I have an oily face and the moisturizer really does not help it that much.  So, it your just in the market for a moisturizer that moisturizes and has SPF this is the one!  It has a great creamy texture and is slightly watery consistency, which makes this moisturizer easy to apply and quickly absorbed in to the skin.

Eye makeup

I use quite a lot of Physician’s formula makeup.  This eyeshadow palette is one of my favorites because it has a great palette of neutrals.  These neutrals are a little shimmery and add just a little something special.  These pretty neutrals really wake up my tired eyes.  The colors are easily blendable if you’re mixing colors and the colors are buildable.  First application of any color from this palette is very sheer, but if you want a smokey eye look, you can easily just build more color till you get your desired color.

Burt s Bees lip gloss
$13 – thehut.com

I love all Burt’s Bees products.  I especially love their lip balm.  Their lip balm products are perfect for chapped lips.  Even though, this lip gloss says it moisturizes lip a lip balm and is glossy like a lip gloss.  It doesn’t really moisturize that much, if at all.  But I love the sheer nectar nude color, so I apply a Burt’s Bees lip balm underneath the lip gloss.  And what I like about this lip gloss is that it’s not too glossy or sticky on my lips.

Blender brush
target.comI’ve used this concealer for a while now.  It’s all right.  It’s doesn’t really clump up and blends pretty well.  And for the price of this product, I just keep on buying it again and again.  If you guys have any suggestion for a good concealer, comment below!  I would love to hear from you!

I love this eyeshadow primer.  This color greed, comes out as a pretty sheer shimmery color.  I sometimes just wear the primer without the eyeshadow.  This primer also works great as a highlighter.  The one thing about this product that I did not know when I bought it is that you don’t need to use a lot.  A small tiny drop is sufficient to cover each eye lid.  And this primer really makes my eyeshadow last when I apply it!  No more creases!

NYX Green Tea Blotting Paper
urbanoutfitters.comI love this blotting paper because it smells like green tea.  It doesn’t really calm redness as it says on the product but it removes all excess oil from your face and does not smear your makeup.  It gets the job done and the price just can’t be beat.
